After-hours contact with the nurse/physician is intended for urgent medical problems only. Questions about appointments, billing, referrals, refills, or other issues of a non-urgent nature should be placed during normal business hours.
For URGENT concerns that cannot wait until the office is open, CURRENT PATIENTS ONLY can contact the After Hours Nurse Hotline @ 1-877-306-1549.
Feel free to use the Nurse Hotline when needed, but please try to limit calls to urgent concerns only.
You can also leave us a message on our main number, 740-286-5455 and we will call you back when we are in the office.
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to make your scheduled appointment. This will enable us to serve our patients in a timely manner.
Our office will be making reminder calls 48-72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to make that scheduled appointment, you must call and cancel that appointment. You may call the main phone number, 286-JILL, and leave a message on the voice mail if it is outside normal business hours. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, three (3) times during a twelve (12) month period, you may be asked to leave the practice.

Please notify us if you will be late. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. Or, you may wait for the next available appointment.

If, at any time, you do not feel safe traveling due to weather, please call to reschedule your appointment.
We ask that you bring your insurance card with you to each visit and notify us of any changes in your address, phone number, and/or insurance information.
You will be responsible for payment of charges for services rendered if we are unable to verify benefits with your insurance company. Insurance companies require the collection of your co-pay or contracted percentage of services at every visit. If you do not have your co-pay, we will be happy to bill you, along with a $5.00 service fee.
If you have a deductible that has not yet been met, you will be required to pay for the visit in full. If your insurance company does not pay for a service, the charges will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. We recommend that you always question your insurance company regarding your benefits first if you have any questions about covered services or bills.
We accept cash, checks, credit card.
Financial arrangements will be required for balances which remain unpaid after 2 statements have been sent, prior to scheduling an appointment.
For those patients that DO NOT have insurance coverage, we will provide a 20% discount on services paid in full at the time of the visit.
There is a $25 fee for returned checks. There is a $25 fee if your account is sent to collections. Active accounts that carry a balance at 60 days after the date of service will be assessed a $5 service charge, to be assessed every month until the account is paid in full.
Patients on medication for ADHD will be seen for medication check-ups every 3-6 months. Refills for ADHD medications will be provided only if these appointments are kept.
Parents/Guardians may call to request a refill for ADHD medications. These prescriptions will be available for pick-up 48 hrs after the request has been made during our regular business hours.
Medication refills can be requested to treat stable, chronic medical conditions that require ongoing medication (i.e., asthma, allergies), as long as the patient is established and has been seen for the condition within the past 6 months. Please call your Pharmacy to request the refill.
Refills will not be provided after hours or on the weekends. Please allow 48 hrs for these refills to be completed. An example of a medication that will be refilled is allergy or asthma medications.
Absences from school/work will only be excused by our office if your child has been seen in the office for the illness. School excuses will be faxed or emailed directly to the schools.
Patients are seen by appointment. Each child needing examination by the doctor should have an individual appointment.
In general, well examinations cannot be scheduled on the day that you call. We reserve only a certain number of well examinations per day. This also applies to conditions that require a significant amount of time for the physician to effectively manage the condition (i.e., asthma, ADHD).
We will attempt to contact you 1-2 business days prior to your appointment as a reminder. If we are unable to reach you, it is still your responsibility to keep the appointment.

You MUST bring your child’s shot record and/or any forms needing to be completed. If you fail to bring the shot record or forms, you may be asked to reschedule.
We take our patients privacy seriously. For your privacy and the privacy of others. once you have been placed in a room, PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR ROOM AND KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED.
Our nurses/medical assistants are always available during business hours to serve your needs. You can ask to leave a message with any questions that you may have. All messages received will be returned on that business day, provided that we have a call back number; however, depending on the daily schedule, these calls may not be returned until the end of the day, and they will be returned in order of urgency. If you feel the call is urgent, please speak to the front office to determine if your child needs to be seen. If you feel your child needs to be seen you should speak with someone in the front office to schedule an appointment, as the schedule fills quickly.
Antibiotics will not be prescribed over the phone. If you feel your child may need an antibiotic, he/she will need to be seen.
